How to Install Elementor MCP on WordPress

What you get after your purchase

As soon as your payment is confirmed, the plugin's .zip file and your license key are shown on the confirmation page and sent to your email address. Keep that email — it's also where you'll find your key if you ever need to reinstall the plugin on a new WordPress install.

You'll need a working WordPress site with Elementor installed. Elementor MCP builds on top of Elementor's own editor, it doesn't replace it.

Step 1 — Upload the plugin to WordPress

1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
2. Choose the .zip file you downloaded after your purchase.
3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

Activation runs automatically in the background: a dedicated WordPress user called MCP_ELEMENTOR is created with the Editor role, and an Application Password is generated for it. This is the account your AI assistant will use to talk to your site — you don't need to create or manage it yourself.

Step 2 — Activate your license

1. Open the Elementor MCP → License menu in your WordPress admin sidebar.
2. Paste the license key you received by email into the license field.
3. Click Activate / Verify. The status changes to Active once it's confirmed.

One license activates on one site only: the key binds automatically to the first site that activates it and can't be transferred to another site afterwards. Double-check you're activating it on the right site.

Your plugin is installed and your license is active. The last step is connecting an AI assistant — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other MCP-compatible client — so it can start building Elementor sections on your site.
